Tana is the great granddaughter of Sir William Llewelyn (President Royal Academy 1928-1938). She studied under Nerina Simi in Florence in the 1970s and in London at the City and Guilds School. She was made an honorary member of the South London Artists, and has exhibited in Camberwell and at the Mall Galleries in London as well as in venues in Wiltshire and Germany. She works mainly in oils and charcoal and is particularly drawn to subjects with a human interest. She has won numerous prizes including one selected as Best in Show by Ken Howard RA. Many of her paintings are a result of her extensive travels abroad, in particular to North Africa and India.
